Do these have to be washed right away or can I gather them and wash at the end of period cycle?
We recommend soaking them in cold water before wash. If you would prefer to wash them in the end of the cycle, we would suggest you soak them in water all together.
When on your period do you wear them on their own or should you also wear a pad/tampon??

If you wash them in cold water without fabric softeners and line dry them, they can last 3 years easily. The warm temperatures can damage their leakproof materials, making them less functional, so it’s a good idea wash them in cold to warm water.
Do these make a weird smell?
Nope, we tested blood, urine and turmeric concentrate and no smell if washed or soaked in water in 12 hours. The layers of materials absorb and keep the liquid within the layers, keeping smell away.
Do you wear these all day? Or are you supposed to change every few hours?
Yes, they are comfortable and leakproof during the day and overnight. We recommend changing depending on the flow – every 6 to 12 hours.
Can my 11 year old wear all day at school or she needs to change?
Yes indeed. It’s a great tool for teens so they don’t need to change during school hours. For heavy flow we recommend changing every 6 to 8 hours. However, they will still be leakproof even 12 hours later.
How do you wash and dry these?
Hand or machine washing is completely fine. Use cold or warm-ish water. Line dry only, do not use high temperatures to wash or dry them because the leakproof layer can be damaged.
Can these be worn with a pad too if you know you won't be near a bathroom for a few hours on very heavy days?
On heavy days you can trust 100% Mint Period underwear will get your back by themselves, with no double-up for at least 6- 8 hours. If you feel safer having a back-up, Mint Cloth Pads are available.
Can these be used as a replacement for overnight pads (I don’t get a heavy flow at night) and I am a size 8 with underwear what size would I get?
Yes indeed, they are even more comfortable and reliable since they don’t move around. 100% leakproof during the day and night. For sizing, we have different styles. Our Hipster is a small cut, size 8 is a very small 8. Our High Waist and Lace styles sizing are very fair. If you are 8, they will definitely be a 8 on those.

No chemicals, no artificial fragrance, no toxins. Our materials are: bamboo (external breathable/ moisture wicking layers), microfibre (absorptive layer) and polyester (for the leakproof layer).
